| Executive Management |
| |
| Ms. Lisa Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer |
|
Lisa Fletcher’s
entrepreneurial career started at the age of 19, when she started up her own
artificial plant and landscaping company. Lisa marketed her way into the major
fast food outlets from Northern NSW to SE QLD, into every new shopping centre
development and also into Brookside shopping centre in Brisbane – the largest
single contract for this type of product in Australia at the time.
Selling and diversifying the synergies of the business, Lisa expanded into
interior design, and worked on such prestigious contracts as Arundel Hills
Country Club, Royal Pines Resort and Sanctuary Cove. As a result, in 1991, Lisa
was nominated for a “Young Achiever of the Year” award, and in 1992, Lisa’s
company won the prestigious “Housing Industry Association Award for Best
Overall Design – (Interior and Exterior)”.
Excited by the prospects of enterprise building, Lisa later moved into the video
game market, and, after only a 12 month period her company, Video Game
Enterprises, reached the number one slot as the largest wholesaler in
Australia. Even though Lisa sold the business, it still retains this ranking.
Building on her experiences and developed skills, Lisa dived into the marketing
channel and developed some incredibly successful campaigns for Goulbourn Valley
and Smiths – The “POG Disc” campaign alone resulted in 80 million units being
packed and shipped, and a sales increase for the goods involved of 38.5% in the
first 3 weeks of the promotion.
Lisa has been in IT for seven years now and was recently profiled by Tracey
Fellows, Managing Director, Microsoft, as one of Australia’s leading ladies in
IT. Lisa’s overt drive and passion for fantastic products has led her leading
the B-free company and it is now deservedly earning a reputation as the world’s
best and most simple financial software solution on the market.
Lisa is relaxed, driven, caring and focussed on the mission at hand, and
utilises her strong, empathetic management skills to direct the team to
success. They agree that she engenders loyalty, passion and excitement in the
venture.

Mr. Jeff Rogers (B.bus, CA, FTIA), Managing Director
|
|
Jeff is a person who
has been interested in inventions and innovations from a young age. This
interest is understandable given a family history of scientists and inventors,
the most notable being from his great grandmother’s side who was a Cockerell.
Her family included the great Sir Christopher Cockerell who worked at Marconi
to develop radar during the Second World War and then invented the Hovercraft.
Initially Jeff studied science at La Trobe University before swapping to
business studies and graduating with a Bachelor of Business. Jeff completed his
Professional Year at PKF Chartered Accountants and it was here that the initial
idea for B-free took root. He became convinced that the on-line revolution
occurring would provide never before seen opportunities to simplify business
accountancy and taxation compliance. His dream is to build a paperless
superhighway of business information from banks through accountants to
government to simplify the lives of business operators while providing key
reports vital for business success.
After seven years B-free is living up to his dreams and the multi award winning
software is on path to becoming the new hovercraft of the information
technology world.
